No it’s not reasonable because as I said above, the British policy change has come on the heels of Biden last week changing US policy towards the use of long range US missiles on targets inside Russia. It would have been untenable for us not to follow suit and very likely mutually discussed between the UK and US before Biden made the announcement as it would have been whoever was the British PM at the time..

If there’s any cause for concern then it lies with alignment and our reliance on the US for Trident and when to use nuclear weapons - not updating conventional hardware and streamlining our defensive capabilities.

How are you describing the Tory financial policies then? Debt more than tripled and record poverty, services cut, assets sold off and a huge catalogue of avoidable errors that would dwarf Gordon Brown selling off gold even if it was free to store and went for a penny a ton.

Here's the question that I would have asked .....

Have our government just pushed the UK further towards military conflict with Russia by allowing Ukraine extended use of Stormchaser missiles.

Putin seems unstable and desperate, he might see Britain as isolated and deserving of some kind of strike, it wouldnt be the first time that a despot has miscalculated. Robert Peston for one, seems very concerned at the escalation.

They are not. They are scrapping two assault ships which have already been mothballed. The frigate is structurally f***ed hence being scrapped. The chinooks are very old as are the drones. Saying that they need to be replaced soonest.
