If its the same tech as amazon used its more about tracking what items you pick up. I read somewhere that the Amazon stores had a lot of trouble where you picked something up but then changed your mind and put it back on the shelves.
Equivalent in the bar would be taking your pint back if it tasted off or if they gave you the wrong one. On the plus side, if you decided to luzz it, motion sensors would allow the five match ban to be applied automatically with no human interaction. Perhaps the technology could be extended and tiny robot stewards would appear and escort you from the premises there and then :moo:

I used one of these shops in Camden once, still baffled as to how it all works. Felt slightly liberating just walking out with it.

I’m still not giving up the idea of urinals on the back of seats

Had exactly the same thought. Imagined some old bloke with a notepad and pencil marking down a | every time you went up for a pint. Each punter identified as 'tall bloke with beard ' or "short arse with bold patch'.

AI 'RFID identification' all a bit over my head. Like any technology, it's not going to be perfect and I'd be worried about being over charged.

So is this the future of all the concourses? Hope not. Hardly ever drink as I drive to P&R or ride on my bike if it's not raining and I'd not want to scan my card just to get the odd snack or cuppa. Even though I hardly ever do due to the Q's.
This will be sligtly more difficult at a football ground: "middle aged chubby bald man" , "middle aged chubby bald man","middle aged chubby bald man" etc :lolol:

There is an Amazon grocery store at Wembley Park that I've used when up there for football.
You need to have an Amazon Prime account and just tap in when you enter the shop.
Then you fill up your basket with what you want and walk out with the items being automatically charged to your registered credit card.
It was a surreal experience and I felt like a shoplifter after walking out with my drinks and snacks with no one checking what I had taken.
The cost was deducted from my card accordingly and it all worked fine.

Friend’s kid is being trained up to work in the new frictionless bar this week ready for Brentford match. Apparently there’s a system to pour 12 pints at once.

Every time I see this thread pop back up, my brain's auto-correct kicks in and works about as well as autocorrect on a mobile. Brain says WSL = Womens Super League, at which point "bar" morphs into "bra" followed by slightly confused "Why would they need a frictionless bra?" thought and then the realisation that my autocorrect was deceiving me.

12? Some people are going to struggle to get back to their seat for the start of the second half.

Anything that improves support would probably be welcomed.

If the email is correct then that's no wine, no ale and no hot drinks, have they actually monitored what the average customer in the middle West Lower drinks?

Probably not, I would assume they excluded hot drinks as a starter, then just looked at data for the whole of the WSL.

It will be interesting to see if this has any impact on the queues at the kiosks at each end of the WSL. I have my doubts as expect some people are creatures of habit, and others may have split orders, so no point in going to two kiosks to get stuff.

Will this be a success and widened out across the Amex, or quietly closed when the new Fan Zone opens?
