Surely the match should have been played at Stamford Bridge ? After all, the men's team aren't using it ?

In the wider scheme of things, shouldn't the same apply to all WSL games? OK, they'd have to sometimes rearrange fixtures at shortish notice due to the men's team being called upon to rearrange fixtures at shortish notice for TV reasons. But no real reason why the womens team shouldn't share facilities with the men's team. The Albion's WSL team having to play their games at Crawley - which isn't even in the same county FFS - is pretty pathetic IMHO

Depends on stadium rules about number of events, cost of hosting it v income etc etc

Don't think it's as simple as playing all the games at main stadium

Cost of opening the stadium is the reason according to the club.

Cost - it’s close to 6 figures just to open the Amex for a game even with 1 stand I believe

Apart from the costs involved which can’t be supported in the Women’s game yet, also need to consider what happens if, say, Durham, Lewes, London City etc get promoted from the Championship ? They’re not affiliated to ‘big’ league clubs.

This was a weird rant

Most League 2 fixtures were called off yesterday, is the FL not taken seriously?
I follow the women's game but have to say they do appear to be living in an entitled bubble at times. They are all supported due to the men's game, the facilities they enjoy is down to established clubs who have deemed it right, and it is, to support the women's game. It is growing in support but rants like this do it no favours.
