Wrong ticket at Crewe Home game used

Has this happened to anyone before i belive i must of used my Stockport County ST to get in to the Crewe game a month or so ago
As the only ticket i have left is the Crewe game

Cant belive i was able to get in using the wrong ticket, I phoned the ticket office and they said i had to pay another 20quid to reissue the ticket which i think is a bit harsh considering the state of the football i've watched this year

Has the happened to anyone before?

This happened to people in the family stand a few games back. A Steward started asking people to see tickets and questioning a few people, turns out this was prompted by the new turnstile people letting someone in with a ticket for the wrong game (think it was one that had already gone) and only discovering the mistake when they went through the stubs. Really isn't hard to check the name of the team on the ticket is it?!

I did this a few years back. I took a ticket for a future game I couldnt make and used it accidently. I explained the situation to the club and they gave me a new ticket.

Im sure if you just use the ticket for the crewe game they wont notice, this has happened to me a few times but never had to re-pay.

I did a similar thing season before last ..I wrote to the club explaining and they issued me a duplicate ...for free !

Yes that will work. Once when I forgot my ticket I went to the ticket booth and they re-issued the ticket for me. Dead easy.

Yeah, my step dad forgot his Leeds ticket back when we played them, and he took his gold card to the ticket window and they sorted it out for him there and then, so it won't be a problem.

Surely that will leave the system open for abuse though

If they make it that easy then people will just get their friends free tickets.
