Say what you want about wristwatches being outdated and redundant these days...but the skill and engineering that goes into making a quality watch just boggles my mind.

I bought myself a Pinchbeck watch nearly 10 years ago. Mechanical wind-up, UK-made, minimalist style, steel bracelet... I love it.

I used to wear a Casio in my younger years, until I dropped it on a tiled floor and it stopped working. Probably 20 years ago now, but I still have it in a drawer somewhere. Never got around to getting it fixed.

A few years back I did start wearing a watch again. A smartwatch. Seen a few mentioning Apple Watch and Fitbit, think I might be the first to mention the Samsung Gear S2 Classic. Love it.

I still admire those subtely wedging the cuff of their cashmere sweater or cotton shirt beneath the unostentatious face of a Rolex.

Usually BMW drivers.

Only ever ad 2 watches. First as a kid my Grandpa gave me a nice one, but the glass cracked and my parents suggested the radioactive glow in the dark numbers should be avoided. Second was a Soviet era beauty, brought back around '89. Lost it in the North Stand within a week. So if anyone has seen it I too could wear a watch again.
