I haven’t heard anybody call them an underdog. Pretty upfront about their budget in the documentary.See the other reply. They're buying success and selling it as this underdog story

Feel like the format is useless for British football fans, we know the result a year before the show. Also, whilst still watching I really don't care about the results anymore.
Notts County were the subject of an excellent series on BBC sounds. It's about the conman that took over and appointed Sol Campbell as manager. It was all a massive 10 part plan to sell oil to North Korea, that wasn't there.
