Wrexham a key game?

Ok well I fully expect us to lose tomorrow (as most of us must), but we need to stop the rot and if we lose against Wrexham our confidence will be at an all time low, I hope that Gus doesn't plan on resting many players, or it could have a bit of a knock on effect? (A bit like the Liverpool game)

IMO, I would be glad to see Gus rest anyone he thinks needs it. It's a chance for us to get a few players back and try and get ourselves up and running for the second half of the season!

I hope Gus plays the development squad against Wrexham. If we win, then fine, but if we lose, it doesn't matter much. I'd rather concentrate on the league and get some results to consolidate.

I think we may as well go one way or the other, either play barely any first team players or play an almost full strength team to build confidence if we win...

A Cup run will boost the season and, be honest, can we really challenge for a play off place?

Easy win for us against Wrexham couldn't have asked for a better draw

I'm staggered - they are bang on form and scoring goals for fun while we can neither defend effectively nor score even when presented with open goals. Not wanting to be too negative but I think the op got this right and playing the reserves could come back to bite us very hard and very quickly. If we want to get momentum we need to win against Wrexham but as a one off game and given respective confidence and attitude we will be pushed close even if we put out our strongest team.

call me old fashioned but if i thought for 1 second we could not win or draw a game against anybody i wouldnt bother turning up .
the game v saints will be very hard and if we get anything out of the game with our depleted squad it will be fantastic , but not impossible .

As for wrexham ,the way its going im hoping to get a call up as i used to be a painter also :)

People are so worried about this game. We're 3 leagues above them in one of the most competitive divisions ever. Yes they're on form and no we're not, but look how long it took us to break down Sunderland and they're only 1 League above us, when the lower team was on good form and the higher team was not?

I agree there's a chance we will be beaten, but it's not as great as everyone makes it out to be.
Saying that, it'll either finish 0-1 or 5-0.

I would play a strong team against Wrexham and hope for our strikers to get on the score sheet to help regain their confidence.

Our strikerS - haven't we only got one available?

Barnes - suspended; Hoskins - injured; Paynter - not really "ours". That only leaves CMS

I just hope that the players feel more motivation for the Wrexham game than I do at the moment, thinking about giving it a miss and letting a friend who hasn't been to many games have my ticket.

Don't give it a miss. Why not go with your mate and make it a better experience for both of you?

The only significance to this game is being drawn at home in the 4th round.
