love to see him back with the Albion, but as only as a coach.

Great man, great leader, hated, hated, hated losing, all the time he was with us.

Probably left it just slightly to late for the move to a bigger club he had come to think he rated. Had the ability, but didn't seem to find, or be allowed to play, his true role in any of the clubs he went to.

Never really rated him that much first time round. He was very competitive and a great leader, but as for actual talent I'm not so sure. He got away with it because, in my opinion, he had some quality alongside him like Morgan (best centre-back we've had in recent years imo), and Blackwell.

Morgan was indeed the best cb I have seen at the club during the Withdean years

A great player for the Albion but we should be looking forwards...not back.

Carpenter went to the non-league at the time as he could not sign any higher than due to the transfer window being closed. He has stayed at Welling as he is now re-training.

Welling wanted to sign him provided we released him from his contract. What League club would have wanted Chippy............None. What League club would want Cullip................probably none.

I don't think this is the same as Chippy at all, Cullip is only 31 and was an important part of the QPR side that stayed up last year. If he doesn't get a League One club I will be very surprised.
