Putting the court case aside etc would you have Terry as part of your 23 man squad for the Euros? Me and my friend have both done squads and neither of us had him in based on how hes played this season- or Rio Ferdinand

Mine would be

Goalkeepers

Hart
Robinson
John Ruddy

Defenders

Richards
Walker
Cole
Baines
Dawson
Phil Jones
Cahill
Phil Jagielka

Midfield

Gerrard
Lampard
Parker
Young
Milner
Chamberlin
Walcott
Wilshere

Attack

Rooney
Bent
Wellbeck
Crouch

I would take Chamberlin if he develops with Arsenal this season otherwise would be Sturridge

Taken Crouch as he gives us another option up front

Rather Zamora than Crouch.

Would take Lescott over Dawson for the experience and injury proneness. Also if Parker gets injured you don't have a replacement, think Barry would go anyway.

Plus your missing our best player, wheres Bobby Z?

Sorry Forgot Jones could play there, despite the fact I don't rate him in midfield

Like him or not, BARRY will DEFINITELY go, so might as well put him in.

Another vote for Sturridge as well, way too overlooked for someone who has been consistently playing well for a couple of years now.

Terry is now not very good. Incredibly slow - anyone but him, but think I think he's a knob anyway.

Oh, and I'd rather Walcott didn't go, but I expect he will. He has not developed very much at all and the mor eI see him, the worse I think he is. Oxo Chumperman looks like a better bet.

I wonder whether Swansea's Vorm has an English grandmother, long-lost relative, or dog...

Walcott? He is shit apart from his pace. Take lennon over him. At least lennon can cross once ever 10 atemtps.

I'd take Terry ( if innocent) and Barry, Smalling. Definetley not Crouch, Ferdinand or Dawson

Off the top of my head I'd make the following changes;

OUT IN
Paul Robinson - Scott Carson
Michael Dawson - Chris Smalling
Frank Lampard - Tom Cleverley
Peter Crouch - Daniel Sturridge

This! Smalling is a great talent! Can't leave LESCOTT out either! He's been in great form this season.

My team:

Hart

Richards- smalling - Lescott- cole

Chamberlain - Parker - wilshere - young

Rooney - welbeck

Jury out on Terry for me - he is calm and commanding and nothing phases him. He may not be as good as he was but how many truly bad games does he have even now? Wouldn't have him near the captaincy though

Ferdinand shouldn't be playing at club level these days let alone for his country - absolute gash! Lost it completely for me

Think I'd go with Smalling Cahill Jagielka or Lescott (not much between them for me) and Terry with Jones as utility covering centre back/fullback/midfield

there's a reason why Barry will definitely go and why he's starts for Man City every week, whoever's available - he's bloody good at what he does

I'd take Ferdinand, certainly. Not sure about Phil Jones, he seems very overrated to me.

ferdinand has to go if fit, id certainly have him over terry. jones can cover a multitude of positions which is why he will go - especially if capello is taking the german approach of getting younger players in there for big tournament experience

Agreed, think he's very underrated and most fans don't appreciate the role he plays. Despite this, i think Parker is more important player.

My team:

Hart

Richards Cahill Lescott Cole

Parker

Wilshere Gerrard
Lennon Young
Rooney

Could replace lescott with Jagielka or someone similar. Also Walcott/Chamberlain/Sturridge to replace lennon possibly.

Fair point and I think you're right in that I suspect he will go. But is Jones a jack of all trades, master of none? That is what worries me.

i think he has got to settle down in one position otherwise it is going to rape his international career at the least. obviously long term he should be first choice centre half in the next few years as that is where he is best, but shunting him into a number of positions where he can do a job isnt going to help him. you just have to look at how, when gareth barry started out, he played central, left midfield and even left back. it was only when he finally began playing regularly in the middle of the park that he became an england regular
