Of course I would - it's not a bad life being a bounce club, as we have been for the last 10 or 12 years. Bouncing higher would be even better! And, if we are careful with contracts and money, we can use parachute payments to improve the team.

The season in Championship where we lost 12 in a row or whatever it was, was not fun!

The season Coppell took over? Have to disagree I really enjoyed that season, apart from the relegation.

We would have to play the cards as they fall. If we did have a run and sneak up via the playoffs (which we or about 15 teams can still do) then got relegated we are hardly going to turn down the money.

I was thinking more along the lines of spending the bare minimum in the season we were in the Premiership rather than going for broke with long term contracts and big transfer fees which could leave us in big financial problems in the probably likely ensuing relegation.

We could then rebuild within a decent budget with the very big parachute payments. One season of probable hell giving us a big influx of money for the next few seasons.

I would be against it then. I think you should put out a good as side as you can without threatening the financial future of the club. It took Leeds, Norwich and Southampton about five years to get over getting relegated from the Premier League and the two Sheffields have yet to recover so it might not be as easy as it sounds.

Bradford City are still in freefall!!

The long-term effects of a season of tonking surely outweigh the short-term financial gain? The club would be a laughing stock, players would look at the club and go somewhere more likely to be able to remain in the top flight.

It's not a short term gain though is it, it's 4 seasons of serious money by Championship standards.

A lesson in not spending ridiculous amounts to stay up when you only have a comparitively small fanbase and are based in rugby league territory.

Not entirely true though - they have a massive fanbase although season tickets are ridiculously cheap. I may be wrong, but Im pretty sure Bradford is the largest metropolitan district in the country. They just massively overspent and like most clubs have a dickhead (Geoffrey Richmond) as chairman.

The main problem with going up and straight back down would be losing our best players ala Blackpool.
