If we bring in a pulis type or any manager and give him money to bring in his own players then that goes against one of the key things the club are trying to prevent,which is when pulis leaves or sacked we have players on the payroll that will not fit into the next managers style of play.

A] Apply the footballing principles introduced under Potter, if it ended with us getting relegated this season?
This would be with a long term hope that we would come back up.

B] Sack Potter, go full Pulisball, recruit accordingly in January, with the guarantee of us staying up this season?
In this scenario, Potter’s replacement would stay into next season btw.



*Obvs These are extreme, theoretical scenarios and in real life the ideal would be Potter keeps us up playing nice football.

You seem to have missed option C where we sack Potter, sign a new Manager, he signs on all the journeymen that dug him out 5 years ago, pissing off the first team squad with the salaries they're on, ensuring the kids go off from the development squad go elsewhere for a better opportunity and we get relegated anyway

Luckily, the club I support doesn't throw away the last 15 years investment like that

Pulis is probably going to get Sheff Wed relegated to league 1. So I don't want his style of football.
