If I'd have left the cinema with 5 minutes to go I'd not have known that ET found his way home . if I'd left the sixth sense and missed out that Bruce Willis was a ghost . Or the planet of the apes when charlton Heston rode along the beach to find out he was back on earth ,you just wouldn't do it . If I went to the opera I'd have to wait for the fat lady to sing , even if you went to Wimbledon and watched 4 sets between bjorg and McEnroe and it's a fifth set tie breaker would you leave so you don't have to queue for the trains . No you just wouldn't do it so why
at football at the most exciting time of a game do people leave and miss the all the drama , you spend most of the day getting to stadiums home and away then the 2 hours in the stadium just to leave with 5 mins to go to save yourself an extra half an hour queuing in a car or train station ,sorry but I just don't get it ok if maybe were 5 0 up or 5 0 down but not at 0 0 , I couldn't believe the empty seats in the east stand when watching the game back on tv tonight even the commentator mentioned it

So incredibly tedious! Some people have to leave early - get over it! They've still paid their money, they've still helped the club and they've still supported their team for 85 minutes of the 90. It may be that they regret it sometimes (like Doncaster and yesterday) but that's a decision they make - probably for a very good reason.

your life must be so empty for you to worry about whether others leave a football match early. You pitiful barren mess.

I think that may have been proposed as an alternative ending with the Morgan Freeman character hanging himself after being unable to face a life packing groceries for middle class honkies.

Honkies?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I presume some is going to stand up the us white people!!! That is so racist. I am deeply offended.

OP should write down all the reasons why people leave early then send it to the club with suggested solutions. Rather than just moan at people for doing what they want to do.

Some people leave early and they always will. It's their decision, they paid to get in so they can do what they like. It's not a case of finding solutions. The bars are open late, so people can stay if they want, but it isn't for everyone.

If the cinema was packed with 20,000, and there were only 2 buses, then yes, yes I would leave early.

This one really has been done to death now - it's time to move on.

If I'd been watching a film as dull as yesterday's game was I'd have given up on it way before 5 mins from the end.

Leave early - stay to the end - buy a bloody tent and live in the stadium for all I care. I don't go early because you just never know and there isn't very much Brighton football to go round compared to all the other things in my life, so I can handle a few queues getting out. But if you go early, that's your call.

PS Doesn't stop me being delighted that the moaners who sit near me and do go early missed a great goal yesterday though ;)

Always makes me laugh when people use the "do you leave the cinema early" scenario. When you go to the cinema you can choose what day and what time you want to go. As the Albion kick off at a set time on a set day you will always get people not turning up or leaving early, the guy who sits next to me lives in Birmingham ,so he left 5 mins early.

I will always stay till the end if its a saturday, if its midweek i leave with a couple of minutes to go. At the end of the day everyone is different and tbh its got nothing to do with anyone else.

When the extra seats go in most of these people will be leaving ten minutes after the restart. Maybe instead of offering half season tickets the club could offer 'half time season tickets' so that a second set of fans could come in and watch the entire second half, taking the seats of those who have buggered off early.
