Love them both, but I'm more worried about Barnes going than CMS...does that make me a bad fan?

No it just makes you very wrong...

(In my opinion )

I have to say I too would be more gutted to lose Barnes than CMS

A year ago most would have laughed at that!

I've always been a great supporter of Barnes but there's a reason CMS was worth 2.5 million IMO. CMS certainly alot more gifted, natural footballer. Really saddens me to see lots of people dissing CMS all of a sudden when he's such a good player who we haven't used right (not a dig at u btw)

I can't say any of the three excite me (CMS staying, Beckford coming in, murray coming back). I think CMS will have a better season this year if he stays, but he didn't do so much last season that I would feel we were losing something if he went. On the plus side with beckford he was good enough to make it to the prem, on the bad side, he didn't stay there, and hasn't dominated with leicester. With Murray I thought his detractors overstated his negatives, and his supporters overstated his positives, he knows our system, and could add something to the squad, but I don't like the idea of paying for someone we let go for free to a club less successful at the same level as us.

I am willing to embrace any/all of them as a brighton player next season and hope whichever happens we (and they) enjoy success.

I'd be happy to see him go, not fair to judge him on one season but it was such an awful season...

See my signature.

I'd be happy to see CMS go, if he's replaced by someone a bit special.

As neither of those 2 are, CMS needs to play in a better side with a better attacking midfield, before he's cast aside.

Really?! Scored double figs for goals and frequently MOM pretty much every home game at start of last season?!

If that's an awful season f*** knows what Colin Hawkins did 5 yrs ago or so... Chris Holdroyd... etc etc. Maybe your expectations are becoming too high with this 'new albion'?

I would really like us to get a decent strike partner for CMS so he can show all his doubters why we paid £2.5million for him in the first place

I'd be gutted if CMS left. He's a talented, honourable pro who always gives 100% without fail. A wonderful commodity in a player indeed. We're lucky to have him
He'll come good this year. I've nothing to back that statement up ; I've just a feeling he'll tear up the 2nd tier this season

I'm not convinced he needs a partner.
CMS didn't score a single goal while Paynter and the Vokes were on the pitch, last season.

I keep saying it, but he needs a midfield playing in the same half that he does, and with Crofts and Vicente, he'll get that.
'Failure' come Christmas, then I'll be changing my signature.

I'd sell. He isn't a bad player but he just doesn't fit the way we play IMO. We looked a better team with Vokes even if he is not as good a player as CMS. We need someone who's positioning, 1st touch and awareness are better. CMS strengths are pace effort and finishing when put clear. We try to work the ball into good areas and wide positions before delivering into the box. This build up is too slow for CMS but a Zamora type player would score shed loads in this team.
