Would you be any less miserable in palace's position?

Nothing. It's all a figment of our imagination. There is no league table which proves which club is bigger. It's similar to claiming apples are better than pears and then arguing about it for a further 35 years.

Brighton and Palace are rival clubs, which more or less suggests they're both similar in size and potential.

You're fans are crap when the chips are down and ours aren't much better (Withdean on a tuesday night). God knows why we need to argue which club is bigger?

Exactly, Agree 100% (apart from the chips down bit!)

Don't know what the question was but from my experience you always get a well thought out, rational, measured and intelligent comment from the poster you are addressing.

The question was
Seriously what makes Brighton a bigger club than Palace?

I agree with your observation about the Botser, which makes his response somewhat puzzling.

(By the way, you missed out "often funny, although tries too hard".)

Like most I don't really care about the nebulous concept of 'bigger', but I have noticed that whenever Palace fans consider their clubs achievements they look at the whole history. However for financial purposes, they have apparently only existed for five years and are in no way responsible for anything that may happened before 2010.

OK then Stato, lets do it your way. In only 5 years we have managed to get to a cup semi, won the championship playoff final, sold a player for £10-15m (never been disclosed so no one is quite sure of the amount), finished 11th in the topflight in our first season and are currently 11th in the top flight in our second season. Given we only have five years of history that's a majorly impressive feat :)

Didn't you inherit the player you sold for £10-£15m, the same player who took the dive that got you promoted, from the previous Crystal Palace that was too poor to pay its debts? Strange that a business that couldn't pay its debts still had salable assets. As Cloughie said to Leeds, you can take it all and shove it in the bin, because you won it by cheating.
