That was indeed Withdean Wanderer.

His moaning was no-stop. Even when we were winning.

Still, he had broken his friend's car on the way up so I guess he was in a bad mood...

where's all the e-generation gone? who went to the zap club for tonka and coco club?

a lot of people have referenced the masucine subcultures of 70's and 80's but where were you in '87? dancing on a beach at black rock?

so who was there say 85 to about 96? big beat boutique anyone - queuing up outside the old concorde? i'm talking garry nelson, ecstacy, gulls eye, the balearic beat ...

i was only born in '83 but interested to hear others stories.

Out of my head for most of it, oh, and still am :cute:

Er..... it's unique, but a somewhat 'unfortunate' look to have, surely.
He might be alright, but invites the lable 'dick-head' for that style of head fashion.
I notice he is alone, every time I see the bloke, but perhaps he's always 'travelling from one mate to another' (trying to be kind, here).

Anyway, mostly not a haircut I'll be getting this month :lolol:

How rude, that's my dad. At least he has the guts to be individual.
Can't say a bad word about him, he's always willing to help people out and raised my brother, sister and me single handed, says a hell of a lot about him I think. Anyone who actually takes the time to get to know him, rather than slagging him off on forums, would agree with me.

I'm not slagging his personality or fatherhood off, actually.
Just saying, as the Simon Cowell of this week's haircuts, that it's a bit of a dodgy 'individual' hairstyle - however you look at it!

Don't worry about it, there are loads of individual hairstyles out there and I bet you will find one or two that you find a bit special as well.
I would imagine he's used to getting occasional shocked and amazed looks - and if he didn't, I'd have to wonder why he wears it that way since you say he's wanting to be individual.

In other words, if you want to stand out - better get a thick skin and be ready for comments you might find rude.

his name is mike the spike and has an extreme form of a horseshoe haircut from the early 80s psychobilly scene king kurt / meteors etc. punk:

I had them as well! Went from being a long haired scrote into Motorhead, to a skinhead (and not a nice one) then into psychobilly. Always seemed to go from a flat top into a horseshoe, then into the single fringe.

As I took the Queen's shilling from an early age I had to cram my misbehaviour into a short period around Horsham and Crawley. Used to hang around with a skinhead who got run over in Horsham, forgotten his name now, was a bit of a tit to be honest.

Always had braces down, always scrapping - used to go to the "Disco" at the leisure centre in Horsham park, always got my laces confiscated, but always managed to cut a new set from the blinds using the knife they never found...!

My mate glassed someone in there, he was an absolute **** though and deserved it. I had just joined up and went to court as a witness, perjured the shit out of myself. The prosecution made a big deal out of me being a skinhead but I just kept telling her that I had just joined HMs Finest and I wasn't a skinhead yer honour....! He got off with it and I had couple of rucks with the guys mates when I went back to Horsham, but I was never going to come off worse...they were all drugged up glue wankers and I wasn't!

Wow . I had one of those .
Forgotten all about it .
Yellow as well , although thought it was more of a golden colour .
L reg . So , 73 / 74 model I would guess .

£3,000 you say . Nostalgia , still a strong market then .

That sounds right, mine was an L plate and was an SS ( stood for "sixteener special" I think) rather than FS1E.

Another common colour for Fizzies was purple.

Sorry, have to show my age by confessing to being a mod, first time round.

Hanging around the "Square", outside what used to be an Electricity Board shop at the bottom of North Street.

Going to the Starlight Rooms in Montpelier Road, the Florida Rooms above the Aquarium, and the "101 Club" towards the bottom of West Street.

Owned 2 new Lambretta GT 200's, 1st in 1964, white and gold, second in 1965, metallic mauve and chrome.

Brilliant times.
