"Falmer rumours from a local resident that regularly attends council meetings:

- Falmer stadium already running over-budget by almost 50%

- Stadium is too tall and breaches planning application

- serious police concerns over match-day security"

smells like bullshit to me.

Well the guys signature is:

"Use a plate! I've hoovered in here today, you cock!"

"Don't be a Gay all your life!"

"Does that mean our children will have monkey's skulls?"

"I don't want to inhale your urine!"

"Have you farted into a sponge or something?"

"You absolute pretentious ballsack!"

"You're a hairy, gay, Special Needs tramp!"

Since when did a palace fan know more about Falmer than the fans and team who the stadium is dedicated to?

(plus their BBS looks like SH*T)

Whatever Nigel wrote that shit is probably wanking himself silly in his sad little croydon hovel to the fact that it's registered on here.

If it's over budget it's buckinghams problem, the same if they haven't built it properly. That is assuming that it's true, which it isn't. The scum up the road are rattled because they know they're in freefall while we're on the up

Yep, that's bollocks that he's either made up or the inbreds of Falmer have made up. BHCC would be kicking up an absolute stink if it was too tall and would probably ask the developer to cease work.

Unfortunately when he was born his mother used the same accounts as his team. Clearly you get what you pay for.

i would imagine the Argus attends all open council meeting, if these points were raised they would be in the paper next day. so yes, all bollocks.

I wouldn't worry too much, if at all. Running over budget? Maybe, right up until our chairman gave 93 million pounds to the cause. If it was running over the budget of 93 million by 50% then that would mean the cost would be 139.5 million. Now how many stadiums that hold 22,000 have cost that much? Cardiff's new place cost around 50 Million and it holds slightly more than Falmer I think.

The second point about it being too tall must be utter tosh too. Did they think it was going to be lowered in and out of the ground for matches? After 13 or so years in the making (sort of) I would be amazed if the stadium was deemed "too tall". The bloody thing is built into the land anyway.

The third point is the most valid, however surely that comes with every new football stadium. There are bound to be police concerns and I would expect there to be hundreds of coppers there for the first game, yet all the potential issues would have been scrutinized for a matter of years now.

I expect to get flamed for it but I don't care - I've had enough of the f***ing around with Falmer so I've asked the club.

Is it bad a part of me instantly assumed it was true when I read it? seeing as we've had stupid stuff like this hold us up in the past?

Just been on to the City Council website. Unless I am looking in the wrong place(s), I see no minutes published of any meetings highlighting those concerns.

One thing we do know is... there is a set price in place, and if the stadium is running over budget, that problem is Buckingham's not the club's.
