I maybe wrong but I think they are still the biggest city/town without a league football team ?

It's the biggest turd hole
That's the Aldershot in you. Mind you, I am also from the area (my first abode was in St Augustines Close near the ground) so I do share a bit of prejudice.

I will get to have a beer with you at a match.

You haven’t been to Stoke?
Port Vale was always a splendid away trip. Excellent pub crawl. Scenery optional. I've only been to see Stoke City once. Rather dull.

Thankfully nowhere to be seen. There were a few families and kids surrounding the Braintree players. One or two knuckle draggers hoping to provoke the home fans but the place soon dealt with them. All good.
Good to see they didn’t flounder

Watched Worthing play football and Brainlesstree kick rush and bore me with their approach. Football lost and by all accounts despite being an attacking threat the defence once again let Worthing down. Shame. Sleeping giant. TNT never did explain what Chelsea Reece James was doing at the game. Worthing need to retain theor squad and build and if they make it up next season Im sure they would hold their own. Real shame they lost as plenty of nig games woulvde come their way next season.

Inevitable the bigger clubs would come after the non-league scoring machine.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I personally thought Braintree were marginally the stronger side, and probably just about deserved to edge it.

As for Reece James - nothing conclusive, Charlie Wakefield, who scored their (cracking) third goal, was born in Worthing, played as a young kid (up to 12) with Brighton, and then spent 8 years or something with Chelsea, in roughly the same age groups as James.
