It’s a real shame that regulars have missed out, I mean I go down with a few mates 6 or 7 times a season over the last few years, and chuck in a few away games, but I didn’t get one. I’m not someone who should be top of a list, but it’s a shame people who go a lot, missed out for some who are going for the first time. I’m at a gig in the evening so not devastated, just a shame for those who can’t commit to season tickets, luckily I think a few STH hoarded a few for regulars, but a lot of the atmosphere comes from young lads, who I doubt were able to nab one. Anyway hopefully they do well and get some big games tomorrow. Understand this is new territory for them so can’t control it, and demand was mental.

I missed out but it is what it is. I do pop along to Woodside Road quite a bit but I do know that the STH all got their tickets so the hardcore will be there, along with the semi regulars and the curious. Great that Worthing have got attracted so much attention. If it’s on TNT I’ll watch on TV

Yeah reckon that sounds about right. My teenage son and all his mates were after tickets and think there was a lot of youngsters after them.

Went to the last home game and the semi-final, but apart from one other home game, that's all I've managed this season, so could live with not getting a ticket provided all the regulars and the hardcore who go away were all going to be there, but it doesn't sound like that's necessarily the case.

Would be tragic if the regular young lads who do the bulk of the singing were missing out, and replaced by a bunch of casually interested glory hunters who happened to get lucky, and are less likely to get behind the team. Really hope the atmosphere isn't hit as a result - when you've got home advantage you really want to make it count.

They should’ve guaranteed all season ticket holders and any fan who had a ticket from the home league match at Braintree this season a ticket.

Brighton did a similar thing once when they rewarded fans who went to the JPT game against Millwall with a guaranteed ticket against West Ham.

I have no love of Bognor so assume I'm acceptable attendee!

Club website suggested a limited number would be sold at a 'pop up ticket office' from 9am at The Stand Bar at Woodside Road tomorrow, for those 'without the facility to purchase online'. In other words, half of Worthing. Whether there will actually be any remains to be seen. Recipe for a massive bunfight I would have thought ....

I mean this is it, I went down to Dartford and Farnborough games on a Tuesday night and there was about 500 there, a lot of the lads behind the goal did the singing which sucked the ball in for a few of the goals, and I doubt all of them got tickets. I just think it’s an odd way to do it, just letting anyone buy 4 tickets, where we’re all of these at Kingstonian away in the Velocity Cup?

I don’t think this is particularly helpful when people who have been to quite a lot of games this season missed out for those who have decided to rock up for a few games this season. Hopefully a few people with the hoarded tickets for regulars manage to get them rightly distributed.

This is the polite version of what I would have replied. Spot on as always Jack. Especially after one of the most upsetting and angry evenings for many of my friends who go almost every week but, for whatever reason because of life circumstances, couldn't justify a Season ticket and has missed out tonight. People that genuinely love the club and aren't piggybacking on our biggest day ever, to then dissappear after. Some have got lucky because our group have spares, others are still waiting and may be left on the outside looking in on the big day. A travesty.

Having said that, polite is going out the window. It will impact the atmosphere because I imagine many of the younger element of our support - who stepped up massively from 2:30pm onwards on Sunday and never stopped singing all game - will have missed out on tickets. Will those turning up for a one day jolly at Woodside without any intention of coming back again be filling in and learning the songbook? I doubt it.

Some posting about their glory hunting day out on Monday should think twice before such flippant posting about such an emotional subject. Or perhaps re-asses their conscience, consider whether they truly need to go and maybe message one of the Worthing fan groups and offer to sell their ticket.

I suppose the problem with priority windows is the fact that they’ll be a sizeable chunk of people who POTD. If they’ve held tickets back for people who can’t pay online, that would suggest to me that there’s a decent chunk of fans in that category. Probably fairer, but it’ll still cause issues.

A MyAlbion+ type scheme might be good going forward. I can’t commit to a season ticket but would happily give Worthing £30 a season for a priority window after ST holders. You could even stagger that. Buy it before the season starts and be in the second bracket, buy it before January 1st for third bracket. Jan 1st-March 31st for bracket 3 and then anybody after that goes in before the general public.

My main hope is there were a few groups where more than one person was online at 8PM trying to get tickets and they’ve ended up with overlapping tickets for their group. Those can hopefully be a good source of tickets for people who missed out.

It was a nightmare last night. We go every game we can as it’s just round the corner for us. My two young lads go behind the goal and song their hearts out and I have to put up with the chants at home too ! We missed out on tickets and they’re proper devastated but their mate got one but he now doesn’t really know anyone else going so crap for him as well!

Even at the semi final it was obvious there were a lot there that had never been to a game just from conversations overheard.

We got on guest list for the pub behind the ground so we’ll be close as we can be.

Yeah my last Worthing game was about then, FA Cup away at Oxford. I might have seen a few more, but definitely nothing since about 1984.

Anyway, I managed to get on the website and bagged four tickets for the big game. Can't wait!

Both clubs come out of this ticket fiasco very badly. Allowing Worthing STHs one ticket each but giving the general sale the chance to buy 4 wasn't a great idea. With the option for STHs to buy 2 I'm confident the vast majority of spares would have been passed onto genuine fans.

Braintree didn't, or weren't given the option to put their allocation up for sale themselves. Instead their 400ish allocation was a total free for all with no priority at all to their STHs.

With only 1800ish tickets up for grabs yesterday some were always going to miss out but the whole debacle has left plenty of genuine Worthing supporters without tickets.
