My mother is a bacteria that I have encouraged to grow in my home made apple cider vinegar. Made by allowing apples to ferment to cider and then pass that stage to become acetic acid with a lovely floating bacterial mother. You're welcome to give her a go.

Here
Tis bread for me. And that there tasty butter that goes with it. I made the error of a regular sized jar of Marmite being purchased on my way home about 10 days back. That terse black goo cannae exist on its own, so it was a precursor to a fortnight of yeasty jowl enhancement.

Elegantly stated, and describes my weakness exactly

Not sure why cheese keeps getting a mention when the thread title is The WORST thing you eat regularly.

Cheese would be The BEST thing you eat regularly.

I just can't wean myself off chocolate and biscuits.

My own cooking is the worst thing I eat regularly.

Hmmm, interesting. Because I have no kidneys there are things I'm supposed to avoid - like tomatoes, potatoes, chocolate - but I admit to cheating quite a bit.

Of normal stuff, I only do take-aways once a month tops, almost no ready-meals. I like to cook, so using raw materials is not a problem for me. Maybe the worst is that I eat butter - I don't do "spreads" and suspect one day they'll be announced as v.bad for us.

There's nothing wrong with butter.

There's nothing wrong with butter.

Best spready type thing you can have in moderation. Food as close to it's unprocessed form is the best food for you so butter is far, far better than any of the spreads. By a really long way.

Very true (which I do).
Unfortunately I don't. With all these young celebrity deaths, I can't help thinking I should do better.

When I've watched the programs about red meat etc, I think things are ok if you eat your fruit and veg. Processed meats are bad.

Once a week, on a Thursday, the Burrito Man is in Town (Horsham). Now these things are chuffing huge, about the size of my foreman, and packed with rice, meat, cheese, sour cream, nachos. Must be 1500 calories in them. But fantastic.

My only other guilty pleasure is jelly sweets. Haribo to Jelly Tots to Wine Gums. Love them all, but always in moderation.

This is my thinking. Also, when I changed to it, I had just had major surgery and just thought "what the hell".

I eat very, very little processed food and barely any sugar.

My alcohol consumption is probably on the high side but it doesn't seem to adversely affect my health or fitness.
