Worst ever Brighton Manager

A nice bit of South London
Gus' recent successes got me thinking about some of those we have suffered before. A top 3 of:

Paul Wood oversaw 8 losses in 9 - after Brian Hornton left - to take us to the bottom of the league when we were playing at Gillingham. Totally out of his depth

Barry Lloyd was never liked even though he got us promoted to the Second Division (as was) and took us to the play-off final to the first ever Premiership (the 6-2 aggregate win over Millwall in the semi-finals were particulalry special)

Steve Coppell probably gets a shout because of his Palace connections !

What do you reckon?

In a pile of football shirts
You missed the very worst, Hinshelwood, 12 losses on the bounce was it?

In my time it would have to be in no particular order

Jimmy Case - great player , crap manager. Bottom of league when Gritt took over.
Hinshelwood - says it all really
Wilkins - Achieved nought

Adams was poor 2nd time around, but he wasn't that bad, and the Man City game cancels out a lot of the negatives

Just far enough away from LDC
For Hinshelwood's remarkable record as a caretaker I may forgive him his permanent spell but it was toilet.

Jeff Wood has to take the prize in my view.

Case was an unproven man in a very difficult circumstance and I think the personal issues were caused by the circumstances rather than the other way round so I forgive him too.
