If this has become a "bands I don't like that plenty of other people do" thread, I would add:
The Eagles
Queen

I was there at the time, and I always thought they were the biggest load of overrated hype in existence. Just noisy and unoriginal.

But most of my (student) friends liked them at the time, so....... As I have said elsewhere, each to their own.

Stairway to Heaven noisy and unoriginal? As you say each to their own

Stairway to Heaven not so noisy - just boring, trite and tedious. I've just re-read the words, which are the height of pretention.

If we are including solo artists,

Mariah Cary,
Whitney Houston,
Celine Dion,
Leona Lewis,

And all the other wailly women, who seem to think vocal gymnastics are the mark of a good voice.

Completely opposite taste to me then [emoji23][emoji23]

With the exception of Mariah anyway.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Shakin' Stevens.

"In the UK alone, Stevens has charted 33 Top 40 hit singles including four chart-topping hits "This Ole House", "Green Door", "Oh Julie", and "Merry Christmas Everyone"; his last Top 40 single was "Trouble" in 2005 apart from his Christmas song, which has re-entered the UK Top 40 chart each December since 2007."
