I remember reading, when I was a kid, that we got the name and kit because someone from west brom moved to Brighton and put money into the club. But after a little bit of googling, I can't find that information at all. Am I just misremembering?

Like you, l'm not quite sure of the true story. All I know is that we borrowed a strip from West Brom back in the very early days, and for whatever reason, we have continued to play in the stripes pretty much ever since.

But as to why it was the Baggies we borrowed a kit from, l've really no idea.

I like all three of their kits. Interesting take on the stripes and the great yellow and green away strip harking back to the years of Cyrille Regis, Brendon Batson and Laurie Cunningham.

One of two prem teams Puma took the unusual step of repeating a template for all three kits this season. The other one is a toothpaste abomination
