I'm surprised last night ITV's docu hasn't popped up today.

A fair few interesting pieces, but 'plugging' a Blackberry, jeez that takes some doing.
Plugging being hiding contraband about your person, INTERNALLY..

After a few weeks sharing a cell with Bubba and being his bitch, it wouldn't be so awkward.

It was interesting to see it from the other side, on the couple of prison visits I've made, things looked much rosier. However, I still won't shy away from sending people there, as in every case I've dealt with, they have put themselves there.
As for the self harming bloke, if he hates prison and misses his daughter so much, he needs needs to find a new career

12 guards for 300+ prisoners, doesn't bear thinking about.

Why are prison officers running round wasting valuable resources trying to stop prisoners self harming and committing suicide?

Seems a good way to reduce prison numbers.

I was thinking about that after seeing the show. Even more so after one of the prison officers 'recovered' a phone and it was covered in the brown stuff  Who would want that job ffs?

Makes you wonder how they get the phone chargers into prisons...

Various methods used to charge the phone with batteries placed together & wired into the phones or the wires from the kettle ( yes they have kettles too! ) linked to the wires from the charger which do not have the plug end on but run at same voltage but this is tricky & can cause the phone to short out.

Or so I'm told.

I visited Scrubs as part of my job a few months ago. I thought the tense atmosphere was captured well by the programme. The biggest surprise was the really striking chapel building in the middle of the site.

Again, what a fantastic programme. It gave such a wonderful insight into the problems in Wormwood Scrubs - I had never realised that drugs and gangs was such a big issue in prison, I just thought it was butched up by films such as Green Street 2 and Mean Machine.

I felt really sorry for some of the characters and was annoyed by the ignorance of other characters in equal measure. The guards did an absolutely fantastic job.

The one thing I did wonder, is why there were some fraudsters and driving offenders are in such a high security prison. Nevertheless, an absolutely brilliant programme. Top work ITV.

Ashley Cole does a nice line in hiding mobiles apparently. Anyway, I liked the bit about the guy on the "dirty protest". I didn't realise that the biohazard team were a team of cons - what on earth do they get out of it? The guy doing the clean up was honest - he said he would just batter the dirty twat. Would probably work too....

About £12-18 a week & enhanced regime meaning extra visit a month & being outside your cell more often. Was in there for for an altercation I had when some Yardie slapped my Mum, so they did me for it & he became the victim.

Surely prisons are Faraday cages?? Surely they would make them like that to stop prisoners communicating with the outside....surely......tell me they do make them Faraday cages......

If they did, then there would be no reason in "plugging" phones into prisons
Unless it to play games on :lolol:

How very simple it is! Some people are not as clever as you and I. We are fortunate that we can form a cogent plan in our minds and take control of our own destinies. Not everyone can. The mentally ill for example. And some criminals.

Have you the faintest idea just how much that would cost ?

The sad thing about last nights, was the 2 totally institutionised (sp) fellas.
One could hardly write (yes I do get the irony) and over the last 10 years had spent a maximum of only 11 months on the outside, in any one go.

Plus the guy who said 'this is my family, I was 10 stone when I arrived, now I'm 14 stone, I get 3 meals a day, and a roof over my head'.
He was in for GBH, where's his incentive to go straight, be on the outside, and be a nobody, or be in jail where he can strut around all 'billy big bollox'.
