As a confirmed little rude boy aged 10 circa 1981 it was all 2-tone, however, whilst filling gaps in vinyl for a 'school disco' DJ set a couple of years ago I picked up an original 12" single of ghosts, it is sublime. I should investigate further.

If you like Ghosts, there is a great deal for you to investigate.

Brilliant Trees (1984)
Gone to Earth (1986)
Secrets of the Beehive (1987)
Dead Bees on a Cake (1999)

And Japan:

Quiet Life (1979)
Gentlemen Take Polaroids (1980)
Tin Drum (1981)
Rain Tree Crow same line-up as Japan (1991)

All of these are complete mint loveliness

I also recommend B!Machine, (Nate Nichol, and American) who did a version of Ghosts with DS doing some backing vocals. B!Machine are also fabtastic. I have all their schmutter.
