The semi-final stage is now here, and Higgins is somehow still in it after his two great comebacks. I cannot see him getting past Mark Allen though, who has looked rather exceptional this week.

In the other semi-final we have Shaun Murphy and Neil Robertson. Murphy has done well to get this far considering matters in his personal life at the moment, and Robertson is one of those players who turns up one day but doesn't the next. I predict a Murphy win.

On to the final, I just can't see Murphy being able to stop the talent that is Mark Allen.

Surely Higgins can't win it after using up so many resources scraping through in the last 2 rounds.

I hear Murphy has a virus and has split up with his partner - my money's on him.

The Higgins-Selby match would have been a great final.
I vote for Higgins as he seems to have the guts and the luck this year

Apparently his estranged wife served him the divorce papers during the World Championship

If I was betting I'd say Murphy v Higgins final with Murphy winning.

But for the good of the sport, one of Allen or Robertson - or preferably both - would get through. Both have got a bit about them.

They are the players who will be getting big hits in the papers tomorrow, with the semis barely under way by close of play today.

Maybe Murphy was trying to pot the brown instead of the pink?

He's been getting booed here, almost certainly because of the story that he got his in-laws kicked out of the Crucible last week.

His match against Robertson could be the only time you'll see the crowd cheering an Aussie on against an Englishman this summer.

It's a fantastic semi-final line up, the quality this year has been unbelieveable and any one of them can win it.

Mark 'The Pistol' Allen v John 'The Wizard of Wishaw' Higgins
Shaun 'The Magician' Murphy v Neil 'The Thunder from Down Under' Robertson

I really can't call it but what I can say is it will be high drama all the way with plenty of twists and turns. All I can say is.......

Lets get the boys, on the baize!

Robertson was called 'Sydney Pot-ier' by the Sun until they realised he was from Melbourne.

Bit of an old thread but not really worth creating a new one for this
Neil Robertson has come from 14-7 down to 14 all its now 15-14 to murphy but what an amazing comeback!
