Worryingly, Connor Mcleod or whoever it is and his co summariser on 5Live, have gone straight to orgasm with their gush and squealing commentary already. lord knows what we will get with Spain v Portugal.

Presumably there can be only one of him?

Just dumped the 5Live commentary, I thought Rivelleno had scored by the sound of it.

If this is the standard, they might as well give us the trophy now!

Trouble is, that as soon as you turn it off, something brilliant will happen. And you miss it.

This is the first time I've watched the opening game of the World Cup and thought 'Brighton would be comfortably beating both of these teams.'

So.

Russia spans 2 continents and 11 time zones.

They can't put out a side that would trouble the Albion.

What Gives?

I'd like to see Duffy going for a 50/50 with that bloke that just came on and scored

I'm enjoying it. It's the World Cup.

So a poor game of football is enjoyable just because its the World Cup?
The World Cup is supposed to be the best teams in the world playing a high level of football, maybe not alwaays exciting and fast but surely the quality is supposed to be better than this.
Bound to improve though, looking forward to Portugal v Spain.
