I thought that was a fair result. France have good technique, some star quality but they also have weaknesses. They had enough to do a job on England though. I have always said Maquire and Pickford are the weaklinks and both were exposed for the goals tonight. Once again England come up short when they mix with anyone ranked top 10.

I’d Iove a Morocco Argentina final.

Let the usual recriminations begin from England fans and gloating from haters continue. Can’t wait for the Albion!
Yeah - not sure how much Monday morning quarterbacking I can stand 😂

Another person not always in love with England but thought they were the better team tonight. The referee made some very questionable decisions but you have to take your chances -Maguires header and the penalty need to go in or at least force a save. Our boy to score winner in the final for me.

The ref got the big calls correct but it was a difficult game to manage; both nations contributed to this.

Forecasting an eventual England defeat to France in the quarter finals of this tournament was about the same as saying it might rain this month.
