[Football] World Cup - Day Sixteen

Professional footballers can't just strike the ball properly, amazing

We get him back fit and rested, so not overly fussed

Brighton factually.....
oh boy, what a shame...

Croatia are just one of those teams, that just keep pulling out results and won't go away, when if you look at the team are aging and not really full of stars.

Croatia have looked pretty poor this tournament but just seem to do enough

Yeah Japs isn't acceptable, it's not the 40's.
Just trying to shorthand on my mobile

Point stands - the Japanese team unfortunately don’t have the legs left! Or the experience to take on a pen shoot out against Croatia 🙁

Tremendous effort from the underdogs and Mitoma made a great impact.

A very disappointing end, but Mitoma's had an excellent tournament.

That pullback cross on the line to beat Spain that ended up knocking Germany out will go down in World Cup folklore.

On the plus side Japan have over taken the Albion for shittiest penalty shoot out performance I've ever seen. (V Fulham, Goldstone, FA Cup 1995).

I feel for Japan - they've been a revelation and have a fabulous work ethic, alongside some fabulous skills (penalties notwithstanding), and will undoubtedly come back better and stronger, next time.
Mitoma was excellent and we're lucky to have him.....long may it last. I'd love to have seen them progress to the quarters, rather than the turgid Croatia.

Lovely finish by Vinicius Jr. Picked his spot.

It might have been an idea to have a defender within 20 metres of him.
