I actually see both points of view. At the time, I thought it was a dive. He stops moving his feet in order to fall down. Souness is right that the defender isn't looking at the ball, but in the past that hasn't mattered - it's not a rule that you have to look at the ball. But if FIFA are now saying you cannot block runs - well that would be a huge change to the game, and it would be a penalty - but nothing like as bad as the one on slab head.
