Well done England, that looked like a clusterfuck in the making before the first goal. Turned into a stroll in the park
See, you were right... We've 'lucked out' to the quarter finals again. :lolol:

Glad to have you aboard

Brilliantly navigated game from the off. A few blips, but anyone who thinks our slow, inviting start wasn't part of the game plan needs to give their head a wobble. Absolutely no need to start the game in 5th gear v a team who have shown to fade in games this tournament.
It wasn’t imho.

The commentators and a load of nsc’ers felt there a complete tactics change on 35 to go long.

Still to find out if the players or GS made the change.

Absolute cake walk in the end, onto France.

Need to defend much better than tonight and stay switched on.

Giroud/Mbappe bury one of those two sitters missed

I just asked you what the Lloris offense was as it wasn’t clear to me, that’s all. I explained why.

And I didn’t understand your confidence post, so asked. I didn’t know what you meant; it wasnt clear and I’m sure others think similar. I think that’s all my replies but I’m not counting.

But given the prolific rate you’re posting at today it wouldn’t surprise me if I’d inadvertently responded to a few more.

I have a question, the rate you’re posting, the confident and aggressive attitude you’re displaying…..have you done a load of bugle whilst watching the games today?
What is bugle? Unless it’s coffee, no.

I’ve posted about ten times in the last three days.

You are being malicious, it’s pointless and it doesn’t impress me.

All part of the plan (a few missed passes aside). Invite them to put pressure on us high up the pitch. Then on half hour or so, start going long and catch them out. Obviously can't be certain, but I'm quite confident that would've been part of the game plan.
Good shout. Invite the press, knacker them out, lob the press

No one comes on to NSC to be impressed

OK, well we'll never know i doubt, but even if you're right, there was never any need to start the game all guns blazing. These had faded a lot and conceded the most goals in last half hour or so of games of those who qualified. Nothing to be critical of at all tonight, imo. Patience was the key first part of the game

Make what you want of France, it’s a 50-50 game for me. They’ve been beaten already by Cameroon, albeit with a weakened side.
Talking of weakened sides - if teams had to play their second 11 in remaining games, we'd walk this tournament

Anything less than reaching the QF would've been a disappointment to me, so they've hit my expectations already.
I agree but it is our 10th QF!

There really is a feeling watching that clinical and efficient performance in the last 60mins, England will have far more to offer when required and it will be against France.

Englands quarter final will have all the elements of a final for me - a great opponent, defending champions and definitely one of two favourites to win the WC imo - so nail biting stuff and if England are on form, could be the match of the tournament.
