I cannot believe the number of people that have put Casillas in goal He would struggle to get in any of our top 5 sides except Arsenal as the other 4 are all better than him. Van Der Sar, Gomez, Hart and Czech(sp)

casillas is the captain and first choice for the best international side in the world......and has been capped 116 times by his country

he's also played 400 games for real madrid, one of, if not the biggest, club side in the world........i'm sure that if they thought he was shit they could've found a replacement fairly easily

Personal opinion but I quite like Real Madrid but think like Arsenal, goalkeeper is their weak spot.

Not sure if its the same Casillas but would it be the same Casillas that conceded 2 goals in the entire world cup for the reigning world and European champions?

Also anyone who includes Rooney or any other English player bar Ashley Cole needs to get their head tested!!

Real Madrid's weak spot is their defence and has been for years. Casillas is the reason they hardly let any in, with a lesser keeper they would struggle a lot

He is also the guy who played in the Champions League final when he was still learning to drive and had to get the bus to meet the team. He has been one of the best goalkeepers for about a decade and I'm sure many English premier league clubs would love to have him

I think they last time Real won the title they had conceded the fewest goals but had allowed/recieved the most shots on target in the whole of La Liga

When Real Madrid last won the league, with Fab Cap as manager, Casillas won the Golden Gloves award, which isn't a voted for trophy, it is about the statistics of clean sheets and shots saved, amongst other things. Despite winning the league, Real Madrid's goalkeeper had the highest stats in the league. Their defence is poor, Casillas is an absolute GOD in goal, only people who haven't seen him play don't rate him. Some truly stupid opinions in this thread about him, but the people who put him in their team can recognise what a good goalkeeper he is. Iker Casillas, best goalkeeper in the world.

My team;
1. IKER CASILLAS (Real Madrid)
2. Dani Alves (Barcelona)
3. Razvan Rat (Shakhtar Donetsk)
4. Gerard Pique (Barcelona)
5. Nemanja Vidic (Man Utd)
6. Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich)
7. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
8. Wesley Sneijder (Internazionale)
9. David Villa (Barcelona)
10. Lionel Messi (Barcelona)
11. Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich)

Gareth Bale is unfortunate to miss out to be fair to him. Razvan Rat basically picked himself at left back. :clap2:
