Is it just to save time, TXT-style, or can people really be so bafflingly ignorant of the basics of their own language? If so, I'm surprised they even know the word 'would'. What's coming next: 'wood of'?

Back in the day, even poor kids learnt decent English. What's gone wrong?

Should of known this would be on here.It truly grates,innit?


Oh,and what's gone wrong is the trend to "communications studies" rather than English grammar.Does not matter about the construction,punctuation or spelling - just get the message across.

Mr Pope would rotate in his grave.Well,if he's in it yet.Does anybody know,or care?
