2. County cricket isn't preparing players for test match cricket - the route seems to be via limited overs cricket rather than via the cc. The step up is too big from county trundlers bowling at 85mph to best test match bowlers steaming in at 95mph.

Something needs to change.

Somerset and Sussex get the biggest attendance for county cricket, so lets just ignore these core supporters, it felt like hardly anyone watched 50 over cricket this year.

We sell out most games for 20/20. But why would playing more of this create test players and not make some individuals who will own city franchises very rich and replace home grown players with the world elite select few who will take most of the profits in wages.
