Another big win for the Beeb methinks.

Some riveting actual footage of a landing on Titan tonight (BBC 7pm), and hard to fault the enthusiasm of weird man-boy Brian Cox who looks like alarmingly he should be in a boy band but is in fact in his forties. Roams the earth like David Attenborough or 'Brilliant!!!' out of The Fast Show, picking up remains of meteorites or digging into glaciers.

Well worthy of a watch on the iPlayer. IMHO, like.

Loving it indeed although I wouldn't say he looks like he is from a boy band. I would say that the series is brilliant because he is a geek, a geek that is really excited by science and you cannot help be enthused by his passion and excitement.

How many episodes have been on now?

I couldn't watch it. He kept saying Sa-Turn and it weirded me out. Maybe I should try and get over that.

BBC at its best, and Coxys explanations are very easy to understand. I think he has one of the best jobs there is.
His explanation of the Hadron Collider last year was spot on.

Really enjoying it, the presenter is great, although as said above he does weird me out with some of his mannerisms.

Funny you should mention the boy band thing, as Brian Cox played keyboards for D:Ream (as in "Things can only get better") before he was a Prof.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Cox_%28physicist%29

He is a top bloke. Someone who's really excited about knowledge and understanding things. He makes science seem about 100x more exciting than religion.

My wife thinks I have a case of man-love / bromance for Professor Cox. She doesn't like him because he's called Brian, as far as I can tell.
