I am not a tree hugger. But I do care about the fact that an enormous multinational company is more concerned about making profits than about babies dying.
Against World Health Organisation guidelines, Nestle is handing out free powdered milk samples in hospitals in poor countries.
The mothers think - ooh - it's from the West it must be good. They mix it with crappy water - the babies die. Their own breast milk (which is free, sterile, and the best food a baby can have) dries up. They can't afford to keep on buying the milk powder. The babies die.
Of course, here in this country we have our own concerns about BLOODY KIT KAT BREAKS!!!!!!!
