Was that a Friday night?

No, it was a Saturday 3pm ko. The away fans had part of the big terrace behind the goal, there was the enormous stand on one side when the money ran out and the other 3 sides looked a bit lost before Sir Jack came to their rescue. I think Eric Young scored the winner.

Worst away "end" in the Premier League. Impossible to get any atmosphere going. A dozen rows of cramped seating all at pitch level. Not enjoyable.

I'm still going.

Still great memories of the 'day we really got promoted' with Knocky's brace.

The sole time I didn't mind the beer luzzin' all along the concourse, got soaked.

Fantastic scenes.

997 left plus two further blocks to open. About 300 in each block, so probably 1,500 (ish) left.

I have been watching the sales with interest to see if another block would become available when the sales reached those with purchase history and was thinking probably not so was surprised when you posted this news.
That new block of 350 makes it a grand total of 2750 now released with one block left to go

Like Liverpool, the train line is Avanti which means no advanced tickets being sold. I assume that means you have to buy in person on the day?

That’s a new one on me. Got advanced tickets for myself and my grandson for our opening fixture at Old Trafford with no problem. Are you sure that this is a current Avanti policy?

;10396824]Just get a Super Off-Peak Return to Birmingham Moor Street. Should be valid on any train from Marylebone.

Thanks for that, just seen your reply. I got Euston to Birmingham New St yesterday for £12 return using two together rail card. Still very limited tickets showing as available.

So apart from Brentford, Bmuff and a couple of London games this whole ticking checkpoint drama is actually a waste of everyone’s time?

And Man Utd, Palace, Southampton, and Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs so half the away games this season. How do you get your tickets ? Is it a waste of time for you ?

When they start the inevitable ‘f*** the Albion’ song, to be fair normally sung about the Baggies but still…., might I suggest one or two of the following:

‘Always s**t on the old gold and black’ (to the Life of Brian tune)
The Yam Yam song (to the Dambusters tune, preferably with arms outstretched!)
And of course:
W4nky, w4nky, w4nky, w4nky Wanderers …

I just wish that we’d sing more songs in support of the team, rather than insulting the opposition. “*******’s a sh1thole”, “We pay your benefits”, etc. are IMO just cringeworthy and probably do nothing to lift the team. We are better than that.

Of course - no one is saying these are the only songs we should be singing, but nothing wrong with a bit of friendly banter too!

Fair comment. I just feel that sometimes, when the players are trying to silence the home fans, our fans don’t help by unnecessarily winding them up.
