Until the end of the season. You would have thought if you are going to sack someone you have a replacement lined-up,anyway good luck T/C.

Meopham, Kent.
I always chuckle to myself when an assistant gets the job after the manager gets the sack. It was a sacked NFL Head Coach (can't remember who) that once said, on hearing that his assistant had got his job,

"If he knew all the answers as to why things were going wrong, then why the hell didn't he tell me?"

I hope it doesn't mean that Morgan becomes the Manager and just has Connor do the work for him

What a circus. Wolves have seriously embarrassed themselves with their handling of this situation

Can imagine that conversation 'terry we have approached 30 managers and nobody wants it so can you run it until the end of the season when we will try to get someone better than you in?'

Going down. Big mick must be pissing himself

It's rumoured that Gus was going to be offered the job as Sir Terrence Connor's number two, but Terry baulked at Gus's demands that he sit at the back of the team bus on all away trips and use the 'coloureds only' restroom at Molineaux.

Although it APPEARS like they've handled it badly, we've only got what the media tell us to go on. The truth may be close or far away from that.

Yes, they've approached many managers, isn't this the sensible thing to do? When a company needs to fill a vacancy they interview a number of prospective employees and choose the best one. Sometime the best one doesn't want the job or has another offer etc.

For all we know, Terry Connor was asked (either last week or now) to take over and declined but said "if you can't find the right candidate now, I'll stand in for the rest of the season".

Anyway, as I say, no-one knows really what has happened behind the scenes yet.

Very much this. (although even now, I still can't decide between TC and Garry Nelson)

Its an age thing. For me its Connor, Nelson, Penney and O'Regan.

The kids who are 14 or 15 now will chose Will Buckley or CMS, when asked in 25 years time!

Still some way from the cock up in the way that Hinshelwood was elevated to manager, especially when you consider we had the whole close season to find someone. People in glass houses and all that.

Good luck to TC, did a great job for us.

It's easy to say it's been a circus, but having SSN and Twitter reporting every single step of the way (mostly based on guesswork rather than fact), it is very difficult to conduct a manager search these days. As someone else mentioned a few days ago, if the club had lined someone up before sacking MM, then they would have been accused of being under hand and back stabbing.

If we just had the daily newspapers to report on the latest goings on, it wouldn't have seemed anywhere near as farcical. No other business has it's recruiting processes made so public every hour of the day, and with so much speculation to boot
