I don't want to be negative, and I'm not usually, but Baleba has pretty much disappeared from view over the past 3 months (apart from 15 to 20 minutes at the end of a match). After Billy's red card at the weekend I thought he would play tonight. If he starts on Saturday then fair enough but if he doesn't get the nod RDZ must have major reservations about him. His first touch is not great and that's an issue playing on the half-turn in front of the CBs.

When is he going to play him? He hasn't started for months. He gets 15 to 20 minutes once a week.

He clearly doesn’t fancy him based on what he sees in training; a manager isn’t going to say that publicly though.

Remember Hughton used to say similar positive stuff about Ritchie Towell (baby) but never actually played him in Championship games. I think he came on as sub twice: once at Hillsborough when we’d literally run out of players, the other at Rotherham away when already 2-0 up.

I'm thinking that Lamptey was originally in the team but injured himself getting off the coach. So rather than mess with the shape they'd been training with, RDZ went with the closest think he had to like-for-like with Peupion.

Not at all. We are literally "down to the bare bones" and RDZ still won't play him. He hasn't started a match for months and rarely gets more than 15 minutes at the end.

Are we? Moder has been waiting for his chance and got it tonight. Neither Moder or Baleba are wingers or forwards so the injuries are not in their positions.
