While I like the stopping of silly stuff like kicking the ball away etc but please give cards for feigned injuries and diving which is worse.

But you're not supposed to, the idiots are the players who keep f***ing doing it
So if you’re offside twenty yards back and you kick the ball over to where the free kick was awarded that’s attempting to time waste?

Surely it’s more time efficient to allow the player closest to the ball to put the ball nearer to the place where it should be taken?

Its better to just not give any excuse for a booking, no? They should just leave well enough alone and not give the ref a reason.

Potentially true but there is going to be a lot of innocent bookings this season if that’s the case because that’s happened in football forever, and most of the time you’re actually trying to give the ball back to the opposition now obstruct them from playing.

But this specific rule isn't (just) about time-wasting as such - it is 'do not kick the ball away when a free-kick / throw-in is awarded against your team'. It's quite a simple cause and effect really.

They'll soon get used to it!

Feel like Welbecks play when he’s not in front of goal is fantastic, good touch, lovely link up but when he’s in front of the goal he seems to lack composure, that’s basically his career really.

Enciso is really a potentially elite level player in that #10 position, his positional awareness, first touch and weight of pass are fantastic, strong as an ox as well when he’s backing into a defender.
