Walking back to the car, a Wolves fan in a pub knocked on the window as we went past, applauded and mouthed ‘well played’

Bet you thought initially, “here we go”

It's odd. On one hand Wolverhampton is a dodgy old place full of crap pubs that you're not allowed in anyway and they used to love chasing you through the underpasses near the ground back in the day.

And yet I've known two Wolves fans quite well during my life and both have been top guys, very fair, not entitled, not violent and pretty funny.

I thought the Wolves fans were really good folk pre and post match, absolutely no hassle from them in town before they were dismantled and surprisingly friendly and magnanimous in defeat on the walk back to the car afterwards, very enjoyable day out.

Alternatively he might just want to run his contract down if a big club doesn't come in for him. That would be disappointing from our point of view.

I'd take his recent form next season, even if he isn't thrilled to still be here.

We're obviously a better side with him in. If we offer him 80k a week for a 2 year extension and he won't wear it then, thanks for the memories Biss and let's make your last another good one.

After watching the full 90 this was a complete performance, possibly the best away from home this season. Wolves huffed and puffed but we were never really in it, first weak attempt on target on 80 mins. They reminded of us a month ago

Bring on Manure, home fans deserve a win

17 attempts, NINE on target.

I like that.

This. The stats don't lie. That 2:1 ratio is a sea-change from what it was just a few weeks ago.

I only watched the highlights, but we seemed to have an awful lot of shots on target.

The goals are also beginning to come as well. Trossard is putting away more these days.
Is it because there are simply more chances, or because of better service from a stronger midfield?

Could we offer him an increase in basic salary but with a 8m signing on fee

The problem with that is that he then leaves for free.

Isn't that way about our top earners?

That sounds like a good idea, except we don't want to encourage others to run down their contract. Similar to that, he could be offered to have the shortfall in his current wages made up to our top wage and backdated - therefore it wouldn't apply to other players who are already being well paid.

Always thought there was a slight solidarity with Wolves when they got relegated to league 1 with the “you’ve let your fans down” game at the Amex with Jamie Ohara getting it from both sets of fans.

Saying that heard there was a bit of trouble yesterday, probably the next gen though

Similar to Dunk and Lallana, they could be on slightly more.
Wow, that's way more than I thought. I've no reason to doubt you, but have you got a link to a site confirming those?

Adam's salary was all over the press when he signed, not new news

Dunky's won't be quite so high

It's also going to be expensive to get Trossard on a new deal. Hope Tony's chequebook is braced for the summer negotiations.

I thought we had given Lallana a decent signing on bonus to not break the pay structure, with Dunk still top excluding the signing bonus that elevates Lallana to c£90k a week when it’s included?

Finishing top 10-ish is key to the next few seasons now,.... players will be more inclined to sign for plucky old Brighton if we have clearly progressed past the 'survival' aspirations.

I think the very best players will still be looking at the so called big six as they want European football!

How come all these Wolves fans are so gracious? I'm not used to attitudes like that from away fans.

I had similar conversations with Liverpool fans when walking back to our coach after the 2-2 come back.

All saying how well we played and how we deserved the point. Bearing in mind those 2 'dropped' points could cost them the title!

The comments on Twitter have been very magnanimous as well. Good to see.
