IF we somehow manage to stay up, shirley this will be the summer when TB looks at spending on a CF, DM and goal scoring ACM. This constant concern over 3 seasons can’t be good for his own wellbeing and financial planning.

At the 7th transfer window of asking, far better to spend the circa £60m on two or three players of real quality, rather than a numbers game in acquiring a small army of CB’s and small technicians who very rarely score.
Perhaps Mr B doesn't trust the recruitment team to deliver. I know I don't.

Different circumstances though, after those shocking performances, you cannot under-estimate how well Hughton set us up, when we were desperate.

You don't think we're desperate now? We've not won all calendar year and we're two points off the drop. I'd say we're desperate.

What we have, in those stats Weststander posted, are ultimately two different ways of achieving a 0-0 draw. But I'd say we had more chance of scoring yesterday. Shots taken and comparative Xg should confirm that. But, again, we didn't score because our chances weren't clear enough or taken with any composure.

A microcosm of the season then, albeit one that I'm quite pleased with. Another week has ticked down and we've put a point back on our rivals. I was ready to throw in the towel after Palace. Now I'm looking forward to Arsenal.

I too was ready to throw in the towel after Palace but now again feel its not quite all doom and gloom yet. Looking forward to arsenal. They've two away wins all season and we've tended to turn up against the big boys this season and given them a scare. Let's hope we can do so again and come away with the points - surely (surely!) we are due a win.

Also looking forward to hopefully seeing Mac given a start, or at least a lot more game time than yesterday.

Yeah I know but last season we were shit with no possession. You can't score without the ball.

You are half correct, yes we were shit at times last season with no possession but we have scored the same amount of goals to date as last season.

2019-20 (Potter)
Home GS = 17 Away GS = 15

2018-19 (Hughton)
Home GS = 17 Away GS = 15

We did.

But we had fewer games left when we played last season and whilst the predicament is clear, (we’re in the shit [emoji2]). The way we celebrated as a team and fans last season indicated a different perspective IMO.

Edit - and last season, we played Wolves on 20/4, a month and a half different, on that basis alone Hughton’s defensive set-up was required and tactically brilliant.

Of course if we’d lost we’d view it differently - but we didn’t! [emoji2]

At the end of March things go really pear shaped...

Motd really is shyte - how on earth did they not show the most clear cut chance of the game (March's) in a game of so few chances?

100% this.

So far it feels like we've just wasted money in the main.

Funny, I hear that's the method of transportation GP is using to return from the Black Country.

The policy on pubs has changed alarmingly at Wolves, we were not allowed in Wetherspoons as now designated home fans only, had to get a meal elsewhere then also not allowed in the Great Western until an ex work colleague who is also a Wolves STH convinced the bouncer we were unlikely to smash the place up or start on the home fans.

It’s pretty poor that hardly anywhere lets you in. We managed to sneak in The Hogsheads before the bouncers started at midday. Last year we ended up at some hotel and a couple of years ago we were frogmarched to some shite nightclub with nightclub prices.

That is a real shame, wonder what has caused the change, used to be a great mingling pub.

And well deserved.. Sevilla really dominated the game. To no real surprise as La Liga is the better league by some margin.

Based on a one off game with just 5% of each league participating. Did you include City vs Madrid in your calculations?
