But did you go to Sudbury Town? And the replay? That has to be worth 2 tickets.

I went to the replay.. last ever cup match and penalty shoot out at the Goldstone. Anyone who was at that match should be given free entry to the Pompey game as it was a SHOCKING Match

Were you not at the woking/fcum home matches.now fans that didn't fancy those games want tickets for Pompey.

Nope didnt go the either of those games and yes I do want a ticket for the Pompey game.

Its obvioulsy a more attractive event than either of the other games, so why wouldnt thier be more demand, why is that a problem for you?

Are you saying that those who didnt attend the games against the part timers dont deserve a ticket for not being a "superfan"?

Or are you suggesting that there should be an additional layer of priority for stub holders?

I think it's that those that attended the early FA cup games should get priority as they have shown an interest (and financial contribution) to the FA cup competition from the begining, and it's unfair on them to miss out because a sth suddenly decides this game is big enough to merit their attention. I have some memory of big cup games having been prioritised in accordance with previous attendance in the past.

But I can see the other side too. A sth has given a larger contribution to the club, both in attendance to some of the less glamourous league games, and with a greater financial in put, and have bought a season-long "right" to a particular seat.

As a sth who attended both games, it's of no importance to me, but why not let those who attended both previous games apply at the same time as sth. Those like me who fall in both categories will get their regular seat anyway, sth attending their first fa cup game will get their regular seats, and non-sth who attended both cup games won't be so precious about "their" seat.

I wasn't trying to be controversial as someone above said. I just genuinely don't give a shit about Portsmouth. Our rivals are Crystal Palace and the other 90 clubs are not. If it was Portsmouth in the league maybe it would be a bit different, but the facts are our manager doesn't actually want us to be in this competition. It means we're now going to Yeovil on a Tuesday night, which will be a pain. As I said, I can't see the fascination with it. I don't even know what the home game after Portsmouth is, but I guarantee it's 10 times more important but will get 100 times less attention.

I'm guessing you never went to the Goldstone v Pompey

Are you a STH? you never mentioned it before

I dont agree or disagree regarding priority,I am no longer a STH so will take my chances when the club says I can buy tickets, if I miss out? so be it.

What moved me to comment is the "holier than thou" attitiude of the thread starter. I want to go to the Pompey game and I didnt want to go to the other games, so what?!

God I miss the days when you had to just go and queue for f***ing hours in the freezing cold half way around the stadium at the Goldstone to get a ticket and then find out just before you got to the ticket office that they were sold out. Now THAT was worth a whinge..

:clap2:

I was there! I want my ticket! An awful, awful performance. Wasn't there a game against fulham the following year that went to penalties?

Not at all. Its just the fact that you mention that you are a STH in every post you make...

Mate I was a season ticket holder at the Goldstone way back in the 70's...when my father took me

Do I? Let me go see...

OK, I just looked through my post history to see a grand total of one mention of my being a season ticket holder in my last 100 posts (the one in this thread) I've made.

FFFFFreeeeeezing and a winner from Adam Virgo's brother??

that was the ldv/jpt/autowindscreens wasn7t it? i think we played fulham in the f.a cup. We drew 0-0 at craven cottage then drew the replay 0-0 at the goldstone. We then lost on penalties. I think...

Edit: Got my seasons mixed up. We lost to fulham in 95/6 and Sudbury town in 96/7 so Jam the man is correct. Sudbury was the last ever f.a cup game and penalty shoot out at the goldstone.

If you want a ticket for this, then buy one. It's not going to be a problem.

I had a ST aged 9 in 1972/73 in the front row of the old South Stand seats although this must count as glory hunting since we'd just been promoted to Div 2 (now championship). We drew Chelsea in the FAcup and my mum whacked, with my old wooden rattle, a potty-mouthed Chelsea fan who was in the standing section below.

I demand first dibs at Bellend Pompey with my rattle.

Will the club be announcing shortly that 1901 members will take priority over current STH's who haven't signed up for 1901 ?
