Withdean Atmosphere

Tbh the atmosphere at Withdean started tailing off when the singing sections were introduced - when the singers were scattered throughout the stands people were much more likely to join in, but now nobody can actually hear them to join in. I also reckon that the slow plod to the halfway line that has been foisted on the club by the league kills off the atmosphere before the game even starts.

(I have no suggestions on improving the atmosphere at Withdean btw, other than a roof - but we'll get one of those in 2011!)

Well said CO. That stupid "respect" handshaking kills the excitement as the teams come out. Having said that we do need a bit of success at Withdean. We have got so used to us giving away silly goals or not scoring that even if we go 1 up we know the oppostion will be gifted a goal. A run of wins at home would remove the negative vibes and get the crowd going again. It was only last year that the atmosphere buzzed against Man City but apart from poor refereeing decisions not much since then to get excited about. I still think we are playing better this season though.
