Have you ever tried to tell teenagers (or in my case just past teenage years) to do something.

My head is sore from banging it off a brick wall.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Having said that I have sent Bry's post to them in an effort to scare them into doing it.

Then you need to start smacking them! :D

Good post Bry, well done. Still it's another good reason why Christmas sucks.

Bry whilst we are on the q & a's is that firefighter that provided the sperm sample to the two lesbians in Essex F & R ? and do you know him?

What are they doing with it? Are they testing to see if they are still Lesbians?

"No, I don't like the taste of that!"

"Quite agree."

You have to email your children? ;)

Dear Son,

Dinner is ready on the table. For every minute from here on in that you do not arrive at the table I will remove one present of yours from under the Christmas tree (which has no lights on as I've unplugged it).

Your loving Mum

Long story. I don't live at home during the week so I only see them at the weekend - which is nice - only joking kids.

Yes me ME ME ME ME please!

How do I get the men in my house to get the wee IN the toilet?:nono:

If you have to ask then in all probability you probably already know the answer.

You don't.

Must give you the name of the headache pills I take for when the old head banging on a brick wall commences in your house.

Hey Bry can you sort out a long standing dispute in our house.

Me and the hubby insist on unplugging eberything that is not in use at any particular time (not just Christmas lights) but the kids have so many electrical things in their rooms from pets that need heat mats and lights and stereo systems are inclined to leave things plugged in even when not in use. They use the long four plug adapters.

Also is it true that you should not leave phones charging in a bedroom overnight?

Who is right. We say we are and they say there is no problem.

You can act as the Arbitrator for me. :bigwave::bigwave::bigwave:

Well, unplugging stuff is as about as safe as you can make it, but then I don't really unplug all my stuff - although I always unplug my pc and tv, as I have seen those go up in the middle of the night loads of times.

Also, washing machines and dish washers have a habit of doing the same - they are the most common cause of house fires (after smoking materials). Never be tempted to put them on when you are off to bed or out of the house.

Phone chargers? Advice is to never leave them charging longer than they need. They are not designed for overnight / long charges. They get hot and they fail. Charge your phone and then when the phone is charged, unplug them.

At the end of the day, kids are lazy and don't think about the implications of electrical faults and house fires as it is boring. I'd say you are right and your kids are relying on mass produced electrical bits and bobs to never fail. Its not a chance I'd like to take.
