Wireless broadband help needed...

Ok, bit dull for a friday night i know.........

Just sorted sky broadband out on my PC, i bought a wireless connecter thing- but i cant access anything on my wireless equipped lap top.

lap top says its connected, but it wont let me browse the web-

whats going on?

BT Home Hub hasn't let me down yet and is really quick if anyone wants to know!

Control Panel, Internet Options, Connections, - being BT i don't know what your settings need to be but check the LAN settings to see if you need to have the Proxy Server ticked...

Ok then, well I definitely need to come off Orange Broadband. So it looks like we're going to go Sky Broadband.

Well al seems ok, when on the wireless connection status page on my lap top it says

Status: Acquiring network address,


signal strength is good

What is BT Broadband like mate?

For me its been perfect. I'm on the "Upto 8Mb" account and its never let me down. Been on it for about 6-7 months with the home hub thingy. Mrs Taz's Laptop connects first time everytime. Most queries are sorted with a quick look at the FAQ. Having said all this it'll probably crash tonight!
