Now can you please explain how, in your mind, that equates to Barwicks first choice being Martin O'Neill ? Unless Martin O'Neill is also known as "Steve", for the purposes of a Barwick press conference.

True, he twisted the truth a bit, he was Barwicks 2nd choice and the committees first choice and he misworded what he said but he could hardly have come out and said he was my 2nd choice could he??

He should have substituted mine for our, other than that he did nothing wrong. If he'd been given the same licence as he has this time Martin O'Neill would now be England manager and had the press not hounded Scolari then there's a good chance that he'd have been England manager. Had the press got behind the outstanding English candidate and not tried to rip everything he did to shreds we'd be at the Euro's now not even having this argument.
