Hardly likely to say anything else now, are they.

Waited like vultures till the last minute, then stepped in once 98% of the debt had been written off and all the creditors had been well and truly stiffed once again.

Classy.

Sorry Dave for going against the grain here but that makes perfect business sense to me. There current owners waited until the eleventh hour to purchase CPFC at a rock bottom price. Nothing wrong with that.

Well, they COULD have done the decent thing, like the new owners of Southampton did, and paid off all the debts when they bought the club. Local suppliers and businesses get paid, no public money written off, and the club has a fresh start without the stench of cheating everyone out of their money.

But thats not Palace's style. Never has been.

I'd be interested to know whether Palace's shameful financial past still haunts them. How many businesses demand payment up front? You'd have to be brave or foolhardy to trust them to settle up bills by invoice.

Apart from Southampton, name any football club or any company for that matter, who have done the "decent" thing, and paid every penny ? Like it or not, CPFC were doing no different to the 1000's of companies that go tits up every year.

Because 1000's of others do it doesn't make it the right thing to do.

Of course its not right, but untill they change the laws of administration, it will carry on. If it makes you feel any better, the vast amount of the debt (90%) was to Simon Jordan, and he accepted the 2p in the £ to stop the club going to the wall.

Lets remember Palace have managed that trick TWICE though, not many football clubs have achieved that. You're right up there with Pompey in that respect.

Your club is shameful cheating scum, you should be embarrassed to associate yourself with it.

Which makes it all the more SHAMEFUL that local traders and small businesses were not paid out in full. It certainly does STINK.

If it worries you that much, why dont the usual suspects have a whip round and make a donation to, say for arguments sake, the" Lets Fireproof Croydon" Youth Project ?

How would that help the local traders and small businesses that your shitty joke of a football club ripped off...?
