David Smith has asked me to not spread the details of his message to me about NMB yet as "none of it is supposed to be in the public domain" which makes me much more inclined to believe him; if it was a Palace troll he'd be desperate for it to go far and wide. Unless it's a double bluff.

He sounds legit.

Fair enough. Without giving too much away how confident are you that a deal will happen?

If none of it is supposed to be in the public domain, why would he contact the player via a very public means of communication, specifically identifying which club he is supposedly moving to?

Oh dear - it is a bit HB&B 'look at me', isn't it? Apologies.

It sounds like he might have been speaking to Bozza too which probably prompted the news about the three clubs involved.

Seems a bit late, given his tweet that started all this, then.

Has he deleted that now?

Assuming he's genuine, I'd say we may have the edge over the other clubs due to the city and lifestyle that comes with it.

well if he chooses Wolverhampton or hull over us, then he might make more money, but he might be a bit disappointed when he tries to seek out the local French community and the cosmopolitan lifestyle.

FFS, you lot make us look like a load of desperate bed-wetters. Why would he post that on public media and then say it's got to be kept quiet?! It's a Palarse troll.

David Smith's Twitter account checks out. https://twitter.com/David_SmithMgmt

He is a business motivator with an international clientele.

Also on David Smith's Twitter account:

"Talking tonight at Young Marketing Professionals on Blue Ocean Strategy - Finding shortcuts to an uncontested market place. Exciting times"

"Together we can face any challenges as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky."

"To be a great leader: DIAMOND - Drive, Innovate, Attain, Manage, Organise, Nurture and Develop."

Maybe this post should be on the Bell Cheeses At Work thread.

Not that it reflects either way on the strength of the actual rumour, but the one thing we can be 100% certain of here, is that David is a bona-fide Bell Cheese.
