Swindon, but used to be Manila
Come on oh wise and wonderful of NSC tell me the secret.
Whenever I clean my windows they look lovely and clear but as soon as the sun gets on them you can see smears!!
I wash them with a sponge and clean water.
I’ve used a Karcher vacuum thingy
I’ve used window cleaning spray with paper and fibre cloths but it the same every time.

I have read about vinegar and water but I would have though a purpose made spray would be more efficient.

Who has a window cleaning secret.

My secret is that I pay someone else to do it. They look fine and I don't risk falling off a ladder.

The cheapo window cleaning solution from any supermarket will do the job, or a vinegar solution, the finish is all about polishing with a dry cloth. When the sun’s shining through and you can see the smears, polish with a dry clean duster.

It takes a little bit of elbow grease and patience, but you will get sparkly clean windows.

if your doing it yourself get a applicator and squeegee and a scrim ( don't use micro fibre and they leave bits on the glass) add fairy washing up liquid to warm water in a bucket and off you go

Forget all the fancy solutions and stuff. Warm water and a chamois leather to dry them quickly is all you need.

Don't go for the guy our local vicar got. One day, he knocked on the vicar's door for his money and asked for £200.
"Why should I pay that?" asked the vicar.

"Because of what I saw you doing when I was cleaning your windows the other day. Not entirely sure your congregation would approve."

Grudgingly, the vicar handed over the money. The next day, the bishop came to tea. He commented to the vicar how clean his windows were and asked how much they cost. "£200" said the vicar. "£200? Said the Bishop. "Wow - he must have seen you coming"

I'm like Time Team for jokes.
