I voted Cup. Can you just imagine Bruno climbing those stairs, wiping his hands on his beard, shaking hands with Dale Winton (the royals are otherwise engaged) and hoisting the famous old trophy aloft in front of a deafening, thronging sea of blue and white ? THATS what following football is all about. memorable days like that, not scrambling to 17th.

Relegation would not be terminal. We've finished in the top 6 of the Championship in 4 of the last 5 seasons, and with Sir Chris still at the helm, we'd be well placed for another tilt at promotion. I'd be confident of a return in the not too distant future. The club well run these days, its geared for PL football.

Cup cup CUP

Bruno wouldnt be playing, Dale Winton might be there

wouldn't it be nice if we actually won something!

120 odd years and we've won the charity shield and the 4th division

and there's people turning their noses up at the FA Cup!

We have no chance of winning the Cup. Should we beat Coventry as soon as we draw a top six club we will get embarrassed in defeat. We do not have the belief against the big boys, in fact I’d say we are scared of them. At least we have a chance of staying up, that would delight me enough thanks.

Win the cup 100%. You’re not going to tell your Grandchildren about how you were there when we we finished 17th in the Premier League.

How many times do people talk about the season in 1982 when we finished 13th? Hardly ever, it’s all about the cup final. The game is about glory, not surviving.

On a rational, balanced level I'd have to choose staying up and starting to build a stable, long-term future at this level.

Thing is though, football support is not about being rational or balanced and so without hesitation I'd choose winning the Cup.

When you're a kid playing football in the back garden, you dream of scoring the winner for your team in the Cup Final, not the goal that gives them the point they need to avoid relegation.

Being a football supporter is about THOSE moments where you can look back in decades to come and remember the passion and emotion like it was yesterday - we had one of those when we secured promotion, but if we were to win the Cup we would have THE moment to treasure for the rest of our lives, and no avoidance of relegation will ever do that.

Of course, being the Albion we'll probably bugger it up against Coventry, but its nice to dream.
